All Ciconia tours scheduled to depart before 31 December 2020 have been suspended.

This page is to help with any questions you may have about coronavirus (COVID-19) and its potential impact on your travel plans with us. You can find any effected tours, useful answers and updates to our Terms and Conditions to provide you with incredible flexibility. We have been adapting our booking and change policies to the constantly changing atmosphere due to the pandemic. Please follow this page for regular updates.

We are closely following the official advice from UK Foreign Office Travel Advice – In addition to this, we strongly recommend that you consult the government advice for any countries you will be travelling to and from. As always, you’re covered with our rolling deposits and new flexible change conditions, but make sure to have an adequate travel insurance in place.

The safety and well-being of our passengers is our utmost priority, and in view of the latest WHO guidance, all Ciconia trips due to depart between 16 March 2020 – 31 December 2020 have been suspended.

We kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this time as we are dealing with many enquiries coming from our passengers. We are currently resolving the most urgent cases and issues regarding customers travelling in the coming days. We will be in contact with all passengers affected by the below updates in due time.

Updates to Terms & Conditions

These temporary change conditions are valid until further notice.

Changes & Cancellation by you
  • If you haven’t completed the full payment yet, you have the option to transfer your deposit to another date or keep it as credit towards a future trip for 18 months.
  • If your tour is departing after 31 July 2020, you can postpone your tour without any fees until 15 days prior to your departure date. If you decide to postpone your trip with less than 15 days to the departure date, our standard Terms & Conditions will apply.
Changes & Cancellation by us

Ciconia Travel may suspend a tour for the safety and well-being of the passengers against health hazards (even if the official advice does not restrict travel). In such a case, all passengers will be subject to receive a full refund in the form of travel credit for all monies paid towards that tour, redeemable for travel until 31 December 2021.

Should a travel restriction be applied by the UK Foreign Office Travel Advice,, to a region we visit, we’ll make alternative arrangements for that element of the tour, as similar to the original itinerary as possible. If these travel restrictions mean that the tour cannot be operated, we’ll cancel the departure and provide you with the below alternatives.

  • transfer amounts you have already paid to an alternate destination or departure date;
  • ask us to hold your money as credit for up to 18 months
